Private Lessons

I LOVE to teach!  I love it when the light goes on for a student who moves from playing notes to making music.  For example, when Mendelssohn’s Venetian Boat Song goes from sounding like a tractor ride to a smooth and romantic gondola ride through one of Europe’s most beautiful and intriguing cities.  My vision is not to steer students toward a career in classical music, but to instill a love for music that is deeply rooted for a lifetime.  I will teach piano theory and technique, and will give students the freedom to choose music appropriate for their level.

Lessons are held in my home in Xenia, Ohio, weekly or bi-weekly.   I accept a limited number of students from an intermediate level to advanced.
